Nintendo Wii Remote Charger.
A couple of months ago I
purchased a Wii Remote Charger and battery packs.
You have to remove the batteries from the Wii
remotes and replace them with the battery packs
supplied. The Wii removes then stand in the charging
station and are charged. The charging station is
connected to the Wii via a USB cable that is
provided in the pack. The only problem with the
charger being powered in this way is that the Wii
has to be powered at all times. I have discovered
that if you have your Wii on Wii 24 the USB's are
still powered and the charger works fine. When you
first put the remotes into the station there is a
red glow from around the base of the controllers, as
time goes on the red turns to blue which indicates
that the remotes are fully charged and ready to use.

The units are supposed to
have high power 2800mA battery packs but in reality
they last about 3 hours of continuous use. Which is
not that long but they also only take 30-60 mins to
charge so its not to bad as it only cost £10.

Its now September
and I have been using the charger for 3 months and
it doesn't hold the charge anymore and the
controllers have to be wiggled around in the holder
a lot to even make contact with the charger. If
things carry on like this it will be gone soon. Well
its 2 weeks later and the charger and batteries are
in the bin one set gave up completely and the other
would only last about 30 minutes before turning off.
I guess you do get what you pay for after all !!!
